Your Christmas starts in Knaresborough when you join the local community for the big switch-on of the town's festive lights, along with late-night shopping, music and Christmas refreshments and Father Christmas himself on his sleigh!

The evening starts with a lantern parade and celebration of light led by the town crier starting at Knaresborough Castle, before the throw of the switch and the beginning of Knaresborough's Christmas festivities.

Festivities continue in Market Square and the surrounding shops.
